When i first got my steam mop i was shocked to see old dried latex paint splatters lift right out of the nooks and crannies of the textured vinyl floor in my laundry room the first time i used the mop.
Remove spray paint from vinyl flooring.
Moisten clean cloths with soap and water mixture and wipe off the remaining paint.
If the paint is smooshed over the surface make a solution with vinegar rubbing alcohol water and dish soap and rub it out.
After most of the paint has been wiped up mix mild soap with water in a bucket.
The homemade cleaning solution consists of vinegar water rubbing alcohol and dish soap.
If spray paint has ended up on your vinyl flooring you can use.
Once you ve cleaned off the surface and removed anything that might scratch it you can apply your homemade cleaning solution.
Apply more paint remover or degreaser to the paint and repeat the process to clean off any remaining paint.
Vinyl flooring is relatively easy to clean and maintain but like all flooring it is subject to staining including paint stains.
If the paint is oil based rub it out with white spirit turpentine or acetone.
Remove anything that could possibly scratch the surface of your floor.
The spill can be removed by proper and quick action.
Start with dish soap and warm water blotting up as much as possible.
To remove paint from vinyl you will first need to determine the type of paint that was spilled.
Most of the wet paint will be easily removed from vinyl flooring with just water moistened paper towels.
If you have a steam mop or can borrow one you may find the steam will remove the latex paint from vinyl floor.
