Near the old nail holes every 16 or so hammer 1 1 4 roofing nails into the new piece of siding to hold it in place. Be sure to nail into the existing holes on the adjacent siding. Protect sound siding with a scrap piece of 1 4 in. Cut the fiber cement siding to length wear approved dust protection.
